We invite you to participate in the Workshop on Popular Culture Economics and Management that will take place at Escuela Universitaria de Osuna (Osuna, Seville) on 23rd and 24th June 2021. The workshop is organized by Escuela Universitaria de Osuna and the Department of Economics of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali (Colombia).

The objective of the Workshop is to discuss the contributions of academic research to the strengthening of local and popular culture rooted in the territory and applied to a wide spectrum of sectors (intangible heritage, artistic performances and celebrations, visual arts and crafts, books and press, audiovisual and interactive media, design and creative services) and topics (economic impact studies, population’s participation, labour markets, copyright, digitalisation, organisation and logistics, event management and financing).

Papers of both theoretical and empirical content will be accepted, admitting, in this case, contributions with both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The working languages ​​will be Spanish and English. Each article will be allocated between 20 and 25 minutes, during which it will be presented by the authors, followed by comments by a rapporteur and a general discussion.
